How long is a normal hike with Bergen Hiking?

Our guided trips lasts 4 hours from start to end.

How far do we walk?

It depends on the group, the weather and how wet it is in the terrain. Normally 2-5 km. Enjoy the view of the Fjords of Bergen.

Do I need to be very fit?

No, but please note that we walk in natural terrain, and all of our hikes include uphill sections to reach the best views. If you struggle to walk for 2–3 hours in the city, this might not be suitable for you.

What is included in the lunch?

Bergen Hiking will provide a fresh sandwich with either vegetarian option or ham. You will get a norwegian local softdrink and coffee/tea. And yes, we brew fresh coffe on site. (Tea if you insist). We also always provide a small sweet dessert at the end.

What do I have to wear?

The two most important things when hiking in Norway and Bergen are staying warm and keeping dry. You should wear sturdy footwear that provides good ankle support. It is also important to wear or bring a rainproof jacket.

Is there any age limit joining the tours?

Yes, our open trips are best suited for ages 8 and up.
There is no age limit for private tours.
