Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking with Bergen Hiking. By completing a booking, you agree to these terms.
Important Disclaimer
Outdoor activities are weather-dependent and involve an element of risk. Bergen Hiking will always prioritize safety and may cancel, reschedule, or modify tours due to adverse conditions such as heavy rain, snow, or strong winds.
By booking, you acknowledge that hiking in nature carries inherent risks and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by our guides. Bergen Hiking cannot be held responsible for injuries or equipment loss caused by failure to comply with these instructions.
1. Booking and Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled tour.
- Private tours and groups: Minimum billable group size must be confirmed. Final participant numbers must be provided 48 hours prior to departure. No refunds after this point.
- Individual bookings: Cancellations made 14 days or less before departure are non-refundable.
- Group bookings: Cancellations made 13 days or less before departure are non-refundable.
- Missed departures are non-refundable. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure.
- Our guides will attempt to contact you if you are not present—please keep your phone switched on.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance covering missed or delayed flights, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
To cancel your booking:
Email post@bergenhiking.com. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. These terms apply only to activities organized by Bergen Hiking.
2. Safety and Activity Changes
- Bergen Hiking and partners reserve the right to cancel or modify activities at any time for safety reasons or due to natural conditions (e.g., severe weather).
- In such cases, you will be offered an alternative activity or a full refund.
- Activity locations may change without prior notice for safety or weather-related reasons. We will make every effort to inform you before the activity begins.
- Bergen Hiking is not liable for injuries, lost or damaged items.
- Complaints regarding activities or products supplied by third parties will be handled in cooperation with the supplier.

5. Health & Safety
- Bergen Hiking follows strict safety procedures, but outdoor activities always involve some risk.
- Safety instructions will be provided before each tour, and all participants must follow these instructions.
- Bergen Hiking and its guides cannot be held responsible for injuries or equipment loss caused by failure to comply with safety guidelines.
- Any legal disputes must be resolved in a Norwegian court under Norwegian law.
- All guides are trained in First Aid and carry safety equipment.
6. General Terms
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is:
- Underage and unaccompanied
- Intoxicated or impaired
- Disruptive or displaying unsafe behavior
No refunds will be given in such cases.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are confirmed only after payment is received.
- By paying for a tour, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
